The awards were accorded to the most promising European and U.S. documentary projects presented at the 2nd edition of the Ji.hlava New Visions Forum on Friday night.
Altogether 26 projects (16 from Europe and 10 from U.S.) in the development, production and post-production stage were presented at Ji.hlava IDFF. The jury was composed by the artistic director Berlinale Carlo Chatrian, U.S. film producer Michael Rogosin, and Ewa Szablowska, artistic director of New Horizons International Film Festival in Poland.
The jury awarded seven projects. The main awards went to Polish project Forest directed by Lidia Duda and to U.S.-Columbian co-production Recording Mary directed by Mike Crane.
The awards for the Best Festival Poster and Silver Eye Award for best short documentary in the East Silver Market were also handed out.

The 26th Ji.hlava IDFF, the largest event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe will continue until October 30, with 376 film titles on its programme. The festival awards will be announced at the Awards ceremony on Saturday night.
